  2. Task List

Here is a basic task list I made. It obviously doesn't save since I can't hook into Node from a note, but you get the idea.

    https://gist.github.com/the4tress/cfc26ab2d1b9238ec7ce

Save that as a HTML note.

  5. auto refresh

It doesn't even refresh itself after I deleted a file through TagSpaces.
I confirmed my delete but the file was still on the list.

Moreover, I want it to check changes in the current directory and refresh automatically.

  6. Expanded treeview functionality, please!

2014 ushered in a 'new' wave of organizational tools; modeled after OrgMode. Workflowy / Moo.do / GTDNext are web apps where the primary backbone is dynamic outlining and tagging. In particular, I love the ease of organizing my ideas and projects in an outline / tree, with smart use of tagging for search/filter/time planning.

These tools are beautiful and functional because of their simplicity and unlimited branching into subtrees. But they all suffer from the limitations of plain text. That is, I might still want to integrate photos, spreadsheets, etc. To work around that, these tools are beginning to explore…

  7. Search for tags in all folders not only the current folder

I want to search file names or tags in all folders
Now i have to select folder one by one and then search tags in it
    which is quite cumbersome

  9. Adding tags "in-line"

It would make the workflow a lot faster if the user were able to click a textbox inlined with tags over preview pane to add/edit tags instead of having to always use the pop-up window for tag editing.

  10. Back-button &/or undo to undo inadvertent drag-drop move. &/or add option of a warning before move of a big folder tree.

One of the main reasons folks "loose" items is an inadvertent drag-n-drop or move of items. It might help to have an "undo" or back-button that reverses previous move actions. Or better yet, an option that could be enabled that would ask for confirmation when moving a folder, and/or a folder-tree. (This idea came from a shell extension for windows explorer that intercepts folder moves, and asks for confirmation.) I'm willing to try to contribute this... are there any existing debug/verbose/logging abilities that track each action taken?

  12. Browse files via TagTrees like tagstore

I would love to see a similar browsing behavior as in tagstore.

    http://karl-voit.at/tagstore/

Since the files already contain the tags there is no need for a central database or something like that just "linking" and browsing via the file browser.

  13. My feedback

Hello, I would just like to give my feedback in hope that some features may be added.

    1. When opening TagSpace, the location navigator and list perspective are default, so I need to always change it to tag library and grid perspective. It's not a real problem but it remembering your configuration would be nice. Also, the "collected tags" tag group recreates itself on each startup.

    2. Grid view appears to be sorting images by name, which is problematic because TagSpace modified the filename, so whenever you reopen it, the images are moved around.

I've had a serious problem with this, however…

  14. Toggle preview mode for markdown

Once you press the "edit" button on a MD file, there is currently no obvious way to see the formatted result, other than re-opening the file. A preview/edit toggle button would be useful

  15. Make tag suggestion whenever possible (ala taglocity)

Files have characteristics (eg: extension) and many files have ascii content that can be parsed somehow.

Having tag suggestion based on file characteristics/content would be a real plus for people having to massively tag files.

Taglocity did it really well in its Firefox extension.

They used machine learning to improve their suggestion engine.

Even if you restrict this to pdf/txt/doc/docx, it would be fantastic.

  16. Make it possible to disable global shortucts

The global shortcut keys are extremely annoying to me, as they interfere with my shortcuts for other programs. For example, I use Ctrl+Alt+N to create a new window in Photoshop, but if TagSpaces is open it creates a new text file instead--not only do I not need that text file and it takes an extra step to delete it, but it prevents Photoshop from creating a new window like it's supposed to. Of course I can set that function to a different set of keys in Photoshop, but it's obnoxious that no matter what other program I am trying to…

  17. ALL tags view, categorised, drag to attach

This is actually still relying on human memeory. If I have more than about 30 -50 tags I can't remember them all. So I'll miss some attaching to files and the system is weakened.

Make a pane open on one click showing ALL tags created. Best to enable categories (headers or folders). Select MULTIPLE Tags as desired - Drag to file (or select and click file.

I'm afraid without this Tags are of limited use if I have to keep to only 30 or else accept that many files do not have their relevant Tags.
