Document Management + Editing: Inline Editing for Document Files + Viewing MS Office Hack
As todays implementation of EditorODF seems to be not working well/at all, a real support of Inline document editing is needed badly.
Just like software like UltraRecall can both display and edit stored documents in this format.
APIs ect. should be available for this AFAIK.
For MS Office, at least viewing can be done without harming MS copyrights, with using the IE engine just like UltraRecall does.

PS: For more details: The announced editing function of ODT files does not work in that way, that it just looks like the viewer, and you cant change nothing. Only the "edit" icon turns to "save" icon, but thats it. No more changes/reactions of the whole UI.
To my small MS Office workaround: AFAIK this only works WITH MS Office installed too. It doesnt need to be opened parallel, but it has to be installed. I dont know with version of MS Office and windows provide this API for the Internet explorer, and which IE version is needed.
But i guess google can help, and if needed a closer look at UltraRecall, the windows app that gave me the idea!
Kind regards,
Steve
