Custom tag name format/style
Please add an option to change the tag name format which is added to the filenames.
Currently all tags are added within brackets at the end of the filename.
example: filename[tag1 tag2 tag3].ext
Cons:
- it's very hard to search for single tags with the default explorer search, if you use common tag names which can be found in an usual filename. For example if you work with abbreviations as tags just to reduce the filename length.
Example (very simple because my main language is not english ;-):
library inv 2016[lib 2016].txt (inv=inventory)
amazon invoice 2016[inv 2016 business].pdf
You can't use the standard explorer search or other file searches (like "Everything") to search easily for invoices from 2016 ("inv" & "2016"). You will always get both files from the example above.
A much better solution is, to use a specified tag-format like $tag1, $tag2 etc.
example: filename $tag1 $tag2 $tag3.ext
The example files from above will then look like this:
library inv 2016 $lib $2016.txt
amazon invoice $inv $2016 $business.pdf
Now you can easily search for "$inv $2016" and you will only(!) get the files with these 2 tags.
So, it would be great to have an option in TagSpaces to edit the tag name format/style.
In TagSpaces the tag search works fine but I love the super quick and always accessible search of the "Everything"-app. I don't want to open TagSpace for a quick search for a single file. Also the TagSpace-Search is not really system wide.
Makes sense or not?
thx
