    The workaround I use (desktop version) for now is:
    - go to "file menu / open new application window"
    - double clic the file I want floating around
    - then click the "open the file in the full width of TagSpaces" button

    It's not ideal, but I can have as many resizable floating windows as I want. I hope it helps.
