    For manual entries a simple Outlook add-on: "right click email > pick the tags > done" could be useful.

    It is possible to use Outlook rules to automatically move copies of chosen emails into another folder
    (or simply drag them there) and then code a component to have that (hot folder) to automatically add tags to those emails and have them transferred to desired repository.

    Yep, with a lot of data (and without traditional folders), the most common use case is the one where user wants to quickly narrow down the search conditions = for example: "callback" AND "offerrequest" AND "urgent".

    This could be super fast if the CTRL+CLICK would add the tags into the search string with the AND logic.
