    I feel similarly and submitted a suggestion to make all GUI elements movable and hide-able. Expanded keyboard shortcuts would also help immensely.

    I think it would be great to add "Open Natively" directly to the File Types dropdown menu under "File Viewer/File Editor". It could become possible to generate thumbstamps and previews with built-in tools, but still open natively by default.

    Would it be possible to specify a native application?

    I could see this being implemented as Evernote has. Current working directory shown and the option to escape out of it and search all directories instead by pressing the escape key or clicking the "X". Pic attached as example.
