   I really consider this a vital feature. I just downloaded this software assuming it could do exactly this, for the reasons the OP gave, and I'm miffed that it can't. I guess I don't understand the connection with directory file path length, but is that just an inconvenience or constraint or does it stop this feature being possible? I'd rather a limited version of this feature than none at all.

   Adding words to the directory name could be a fine solution, but I'd want tagspaces to do that automatically for me using the GUI tag dragging and not by painstakingly typing words in hundreds of directory names I want to tag, by hand. Otherwise, there's really no benefit to using the software, even if it can search them later! I really hope you'll consider this feature more.
