    While I agree that ODT might be a way to go, you can already now drag & drop image into HTML file in edit mode and it remains embedded in the file directly.

    One trouble though: TagSpaces always convert the image to PNG (even if you edit a HTML file, which had JPEG embedded).

    And you probably have not seen the Android version - UI nightmare. Also trying to double tap on a file to open it is like a roulette.
