Organic Visual Navigation
I would like to suggest a new feature. To make the navigation like TheBrain at thebrain.com, or at least give the users the option to choose this feature is they want to. TagSpaces is great, but it is linear, TheBrain works exactly like our brain works, it is organic, natural, efficient, it looks awesome. It would be great to give the users the option to choose between the two.

Use Metadata where possible
Some file types have their own metadata format, like XMP in PDF or EXIF in images. It would be nice, if the metadata fields would be used for tagging, if possible. Renaming files is a quite nice mechanism but could lead to errors if, for example, files live in a version control system.

Per-tag CSS files (a power-user feature)
This feature would entail the ability for the user to specify CSS that applies to all HTML (or roundabout HTML, such as MD) files with a specific tag.
Aesthetic Benefit
For example, I would want the MD files for the documentation of the videogame I'm working on to match a particular color + font scheme.
For all documents tagged Code, as in code samples, I would want white text on a black background.
Practical Benefit
In order to get the most practical benefit out of this feature, an additional feature would be necessary: In the HTML WYSIWYG, the Styles dropdown…

Allow image drag and dropping into markdown files
It would be amazing if I could drag and drop images into markdown files, and have the image be copied to the same folder as the markdown file with w/e name it can find or generate, then insert the appropriate markup.

Display the contents of MAFF files
MAFF files are zipped web pages like MHT files with better compression
They also support metadata.
The format is documented @ http://maf.mozdev.org/index.html5 votes -
add support for TiddlyWiki 5 files
This feature would be a bridge between TagSpaces and TiddlyWiki 5 and would allow users to stores their notes not in 1 but in multiple smaller TiddlyWiki 5 files. The viewing and searching across multiple TiddlyWiki 5 files would be a miracle for many users.

Make a Android app compatible with Android version < 4.2
Would be good if the Android app would also work on devices with an older version of Android (older than 4.1) since there still a lot of devices around which don#t habe 4.2 or later installed.

Edit title in place
It takes two clicks to edit a title due to the balloon that opens up. Backing off of the transactional commit model in general would increase usability/eficiency.

Add a delete record button
It is unnecessarily cumbersome and counter-intuitive to go to the file type drop-down to delete a record. There should be a standard "X" delete button which deletes all then-selected records.

Adding Text Record Should Default to Edit Title
Not sure about others, but I create many text records with title only, and no text records without a title. At least for me, it would be much more efficient for the cursor to start in the Title field.

Exclude Specific Tags by Default
This would be an application-wide or Location-wide setting. The most obvious use would be with, say, an Archive tag. Documents that are no longer relevant could be tagged with Archive, and then wouldn't show up in any searches unless "+Archive" was explicitly included in the query.
This could also be useful for images that are intended solely or primarily for inclusion into MD or HTML documents. Right now, I'm using the tag Src and no other tag to label images that I don't intend to locate in a search, but that are embedded in other documents. It would be nice…

Single click to open a note should be an option
In many other note taking apps (evernote, etc), single click is the default to open notes. I find it faster than double click. This won't make as much sense until auto-saving is implemented although, that way you don't have to interact with saving dialogs.
You can make it only clicking on an non-interactive area, such as the title field or anywhere but the check mark cause the default open action.

Remove the save dialog
It's useless to have the dialog, if the user doesn't click the button the file is not saved (for example if the user opens another files a dialog appears asking if she wants to save the current file), if the button is clicked it's time-wasting to ask another confirmation. It's like the save button in any common text editor.

Persistent properties for each Location
When we are reopenning a Location, it would be great to see it with last used options for the location, as : "Toggle File Details", "Content of the Sibfolder".

Allow tag groups/libraries to be shared
One possible way this could be done would be to create a file stored in the main directory of the location. That way, if the location is shared, so is the library.

Make the Title of a file better visible
Right now, the screen drowns in the green tag boxes, and in List view also in black file extension boxes.
Once you happily narrow your search via folders or tags, you suddenly have once again trouble finding your file.I do recognize the idea behind it, and I like it. In the file view pane it works best.
In Grid view, I would make the green boxes smaller, similar to the neat box of the file extension, and also move them to the edge of the box. visually, the file extension could be like a special last tag (standing out…
