Emulate Evernote's easy interface
Hi Guys,
I have been looking for a while for something to replace Evernote and was incredibly excited to find Tagspaces! So thank you for taking the initiative to build it!
But as much as I want to use tagspaces, I feel that right now the interface is too much effort to us (click to edit, click to save, double click to view file), the navigation panels require learning a new logic. As much as I dont want to use Evernote, I have to admit their interface is much easier and pleasant to use.
I will argue that if Tagspaces' default interface configuration was set to behave like Evernote's, Tagspaces would be more likely to get traction and convert large amounts of people away from Evernote. Once theses people are hooked, they'll then get to learn the more powerful features of Tagspace and grow deeper into it. But maybe I am wrong and you are not trying to replace evernote.
Right now I feel there is too much of a mental jump for most people to convert over from Evernote. Only motivated users will make this jump, which is just a tiny percentage of people - missing out on probably millions of Evernote users who would switch if only it wasnt so much of an effort. I am assuming Evernote's UX is the result of testing it on large amounts of user and is probably close to the best product-user fit one can design.
So in summary I would suggest:
autosave note (no need to click save)
Single click to bring a file into the editor
Editor opens in edit mode
Navigation panel like Evernote's
I would love to hear your thoughts, maybe better understand your vision in case I missed the mark on what you are building.
I am wondering if I should I start using & supporting Tagspaces, or if should keep looking around for something else / keep using Evernote..
Thank you for your awesome work so far :)

Please update the UI. Make it look like a file manager.

And you probably have not seen the Android version - UI nightmare. Also trying to double tap on a file to open it is like a roulette.

I also would like to see an update on the UI that is similar to Evernote.
