It seems, like the development is running slow in the last time.. Do we have to fear, that another promising Evernote alternative is dying??
With Full text search, Database-Stored Tags (And files like in UltraRecall), and some smaller fixes and features added, Tagspaces would be THE Killer app for all, who work on Desktops, want their data to be stored locally/on NAS ect..
If money is a problem, i would def. pay for a Freemium version when the most wanted features are added, and i think, there is still a huge potential on the market..

This is a tagspaces killer!
Without content search you have to switch between three places:
- the Tagspaces GUI (edit files),
- your system search
- and finally file editor (which is used instead of tagspaces because it is just one "enter" away from the seach result).Think of Evernote. There is a reason why the search works like charm.
From a user-friendly perspective, this remains at least for me the barrier feature in using Tagspaces in production.

This would be great, but it should always be an option. Otherwise you would end up with a lot of false positives when you search for a title name. Maybe a checkbox (and maybe a shortcut key) in the search box. Maybe you could even change the default setting.
Also, while I think this feature is very important, I think it would have to implemented very carefully. If TagSpaces is constantly rescanning the content of files, it might really slow things down, especially for someone with a lot of files.

You are right currently TagSpaces is not a desktop search engine, but at some point it should go in this direction....

I disagree. TagSpaces is not a desktop search engine.

This is a must have. I mean, TS is already awesome but this would just make it mind-blowingly amazing.

This feature would make this application a file content searching tool which would be so amazing and useful.
