  1. Provide md5/sha1 for tagspaces.exe/zip

    the free version dont have checksum or signature. i understand paid version is for extra function, yet without md5/sha1 checksum the free version is not good to deploy.

    Setting should be available to click 'exit' or X to close to tray.

  3. Launch associated application

    Allow lauching the associated application with a file. E.g. Double-click on a pptx file opens the file in Powerpoint.

  4. Use a white background in the ImageSwiper view, as well as in the file preview window

    The current default background setting (black) for the ImageSwiper view and the file preview window is rather stark in contrast to the largely light-colored display.

    In addition, black is particularly heavy on the eyes (e.g., pulls your attention), especially when it is used as background to images.

  6. Stop messing up filames

    You repeating a very old mistake. Filenames are untouchables. Use a hidden shadow file or a DB instead. This is bound to get users into trouble with configuration files. Stemming from the CPM era I have witnessed many programs make this mistake and either adapt or they went down in huge flamewars. Anyway as a programmer I dont want your tags in my filenames. So Tagspaces is totally useless to me in that sense. I dont think there is a single programmer out there who does not think exactly the same. Altering the name of a class or include file…

  7. support folder tags

    tag folders as well as files,and once you taged the folder,the files in the fold also be taged.

    Please create a select all option in Android version, so we ca, for example, remove easily a tag from all files after searching.

    Since version 1.10.0 we have integrated in the Chrome extension a web clipper/scrapper. Just click on the TagSpaces icon in the top right corner of Chrome and a popup will open where you can directly tags the web snipped and saved it locally on your computer.

  11. Thumbnails for .pdf and .odf files

    It would be really useful and more aesthetically smooth and pleasing if thumbnails were generated for over common files such as .pdf and .odf (.odt .odp .ods .odd files in particular).

  12. Add ability to backup and restore tag library

    Everytime I access a new computer I have to re-setup the tag library tag-by-tag and group-by-group (I sync my files through dropbox and tag them there). I need to have a feature to easily save and restore my tag library.

  14. Automatically sort tags alphabetically when shown in tag groups.

    When creating multiple new tags separated by comma, show them in alphabetic order in the tag group. E.g.: created: john,marry,abraham,tina. When submitting, I would need to see them in the tag group as: abraham,john,marry,tina... so that I can easily select the tag I need.

  15. can add the option 'always scan subdirectories'

    I have my files organised using subfolders. Now, I always have to select 'Content of the subfolders' and it would be nice to make this persistent

    Currently these tags have to been added to Tag Library manually if they are not one of those default ones.

  17. CTRL+A to select all and CTRL+T to tag files

    Standard keyboard shortcuts in Windows should be applied. Among them: CTRL+A to select all files. CTRL+T to tag files.

    Assume that files without an extension are plain text, and thus allow to view/edit them. This is a common scenario in Unix.

  19. Save tag data and metadata in a separate file

    For instance, have a text file Hello.tgd with a folder Hello, or Hello.jpg.tgd for Hello.jpg, which can store both the tags for a file, and let us add notes about a file. This would also let us keep hyperlinks to the file constant even when the tags change. (If a note was made here about every hyperlink TO this file, it could also auto-update links to the file when we move it)

    I would like to use the app in my home language. There are some websites that let the users help you with the translation (like crowdin).
