highlight the search terms in the documents of the results
In Evernote, when you do a search, the program highlights the search terms inside the documents of the search results, so you can easily find the searched for term in the document without having to read the whole thing.

Option to disable/hide automatic preview/player tab
Please provide the option to single click files without forcibly opening up a preview tab. Alternatively make the preview tab hide-able, and only preview/play if the tab isn't hidden.
Another idea would be for shortcut links to open the folder path in TagSpaces itself.

File name tags position option
Have an option to choose the default position of the tags in the file name, incluind the adition (or not) of a space between the file name and the tag list
filename [tag1 tag2].txt / filename[tag1 tag2].txt
or
[tag1 tag2] filename.txt / [tag1 tag2]filename.txtIf I manually change the file name to the second option when I add new tags they are added in the correct place, but I always have to rename the file name manually, so an option would be great.

Rename file based on creation date
Having a smart tag to rename a files based on the creation date would be nice.
I name files "yyyymmdd - filename".
My Scanner names files "Epson - 1234.pdf". The smart tag should rename this file to "yyyymmdd - Epson - 1234.pdf".This request is similar to https://tagspaces.uservoice.com/forums/213931-general/suggestions/9501852-file-naming-template-support

Allow tag searches like "+Tag*"
Allow for searches where the user does not remember the full tag name or want to search for several tags.
Example tag list:

Improve space in the files list
The File Extension button creates a big space between files in the List perspective.
Maybe moving the button to the left or right of the checkbox would do the trick.
Another nice feature would be the ability to resize the columns and change the font used in tagspaces.3 votes -
allow for manual sorting of tags within tag families
I clicked the "alphabetical sort" button on one of my tag families and then decided that I didn't like that sorting after all, but there was no way to undo it or manually sort it. It would be great if we could manually drag the tags around into the order we want them in.

Preserve the window position and size
I run this on large multi-monitors and it's very annoying to have to move and resize the app window every time I start it

Open folder locally
Using tags and/or searching to find files works great. However it would be really useful to be able to then open the files folder from within TagSpaces itself (the existing menu option will use the systems directory browser). For example: I use folder to represent projects. Then within each folder I have seperate markdown files to represent meetings. If a search results shows a project meeting it would be nice to open the containing folder so that I can browse the rest of the projects files.

allow user to sort file list by 'last accessed date'
Windows allows to have the tag 'Date accessed' which stands for last time the file was opened. This comes handy when users wants to add more tags to old files that he has not gone through yet with a new sets of tags.

Couple Of Ideas.
- Provide Tree Structure like windows, cherry tree, zim wiki for easy navigation and store data under different directories similarly like storing folders and files.
- Need full text search engine like docFetcher which uses Apache Lucene and its powerful so that we can post huge articles and do a search
- Please kindly have a look at FolioViews which has published content with fast search.

Combine pdfs
Once loaded and tagged a list of pdf file , would be useful to combine all the files , so to have a unique pdf file .

Make tag suggestion whenever possible (ala taglocity)
Files have characteristics (eg: extension) and many files have ascii content that can be parsed somehow.
Having tag suggestion based on file characteristics/content would be a real plus for people having to massively tag files.
Taglocity did it really well in its Firefox extension.
They used machine learning to improve their suggestion engine.
Even if you restrict this to pdf/txt/doc/docx, it would be fantastic.

Allow to change the font size
I could never find where I could change the font size. The default font size is pretty small on my computer. This is a strain on eyes

Replace tag groups with nested tags. I particularly mean an implementation like Evernotes'.
I really would like to see the option for deep nested tags. I have tag hierarchies like: Programming -> Languages -> Javascript -> ReactJS. I would like each of these to be a tag, and to be able to nest them as such. This option could replace the tag groups, which I personally find clunky.
If this were implemented, I would not be able to find a reason to not use your product.

The soft of this type include work by many clicks and actions.
Would be great optimizing for reducing clicks.
1. When to click on tags in left bar - don't provide menu. Immediately show marked files (if not selected file in right window ).
